By supporting the Catholic Ministries Appeal, you are supporting those who comprise the
programs and ministries of the Diocese of Camden. These ministries serve the physical,
emotional and spiritual needs of the hungry and challenged. When we support the
Catholic Ministries Appeal, we can bring the light of hope to those in the
Catholic community of South Jersey.
In every way, the work of our ministries emanates from the Eucharist.
As Saint John Paul II said, “The Eucharist is the heart of the Church.
Where Eucharistic life flourishes, there the life of the church will blossom.”
The Eucharist is the true presence of Jesus Christ, it is the spiritual food that gives us strength
to carry out His work each day and everything we do as Catholics emanates from that.
This year’s theme: “Through Him and For Him” continues our focus
on the nation-wide Eucharist Revival and reminds
us that “in the blessed Eucharist is contained the whole spiritual good
of the Church, namely Christ himself.”

- Food, housing, and other aid in the 6 counties of our regions each year through Catholic Charities;
- Students and families of the Archbishop Damiano School
- Health care programs and services such as Hospital Chapliaincy that address the mind, body and spirit of the sick, the elderly and persons with disabilites
Faith Formation
- Hispanic Ministry and the office of Black Catholic Ministry
- Formation of our laity
- Adult and family faith formation
- Diocesan evangelizaiton activities
Priestly Vocations and Care of Priests
- Tuition and benefits for our seminarians
- Vocational discernment and formation programs for the priesthood and permanent diaconate
- Care of elderly and infirmed priests
Youth, Young Adult and Campus Ministries
- Faith community-based minsitry with adolescents and young adults
- Programmatic support
- Campus ministry to Stockton, Rutgers-Camden and Rowan University students
Catholic Education
- Program and operational support for South Jersey Catholic Schools
- Tuition assistance so families can choose a Catholic education for their children
- Resources for special education programs in select South Jersey Catholic schools
